 2024 Accounts

2024 has been a challenging year for most NGOs, including The Sadaqah Project, due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza. This situation has required significant time and effort to relieve those suffering in the region.

The conflict has resulted in considerable hardship for the civilian population, with dire living conditions exacerbated by the blockade. Access to clean water, electricity, and healthcare has frequently been compromised.

The situation in Gaza poignantly reminds us of the human cost of conflict. The Sadaqah Project's work in 2024 was largely driven by the needs expressed by our donors, who determined the focus of our efforts.

Throughout the year, we provided aid in Gaza that included clean drinking water, hot meals, blankets and mattresses, food vouchers, medical equipment and minor surgeries, as well as temporary housing solutions like tents. Additionally, The Sadaqah Project was involved in projects in Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, India, and Tanzania.

The chart below shows the amount spent on various projects. The water projects were mainly carried out in Pakistan, where hand pumps are installed for families with no access to clean water.

The projects in Nepal, Pakistan, India, and Tanzania primarily focused on poverty and medical relief.

Currently, we have projects worth £20,000 waiting for the borders in Gaza to open so that they can be delivered. We will keep you updated on these projects.

I would like to thank the donors of The Sadaqah Project for trusting us with your donations to deliver projects that make people's lives easier during times of need.
